We went on the Best Marrakech to Fes 3-day desert tour, and our guide/driver was Omar. This was an incredible trip, and Omar was an ideal guide.
We made numerous stops along the way as detailed in the tour description on their website, but because it was a "private" tour (admittedly we had forgotten that we booked a private tour until we were picked up) we were able to go as slowly or as quickly as we wanted to, often stopping only for a few minutes at each place because that's what we wanted.
We opted for the "medium lodging" which was a midrange hotel and luxury desert camp. The hotel was not great, but it was fine for one night. The luxury desert camp was wonderful. The tent had 4 beds and a full bathroom. There was a dining tent for dinner and breakfast, and then at night we had music around the campfire. We opted to ride camels in and out - it's a 45 minute ride and it's not comfortable, but it is worth it to do at least 1-way. They can drive you if you really can't/don't want to do it.
Payment for this trip was a bit confusing, a point that the tour company could improve. We were told balance would be due on pick-up, but it wasn't. Then we were told it would be paid on day 2, so we went to an ATM because although they take deposit via Paypal the rest is due in cash, but again we didn't pay on day 2. Finally we paid on day 3. A lot of confusion could be avoided with better communication on this aspect.
For the night at the Berber Camp, it would be best if you pack a small backpack or overnight tote the morning of and then leave most of your luggage with Mohou for that night. We weren't told this until we got to the camels, then were trying to repack quickly. Then, seeing our chaos, the company offered to drive our luggage to the tents for us. Again, confusion could have been avoided had we simply known to prepare a small overnight bag ahead of time.
These two items aside, I wholeheartedly recommend Mohou tours. We had a wonderful three days with Omar.

We did the 4 day tour from Marrakech to Fes (with 2 nights in Merzougha) as a private tour. The guide, Adi, was very friendly and knowledgeable. The car was high quality and very clean. Adi drove safely and expertly. The accommodation was very nice and the food very tasty. Would definitely recommend both Mouhou Tours and Adi.

On behalf of the group that attended 15-17th Feb, we would like to show gratitude to Mouhou tours for delivering an excellent experience for us all. We were lucky to have an exceptional tour guide (Deji) who made the trip more uplifting and enjoyable. He became more of a friend near the end, and he was professional throughout the tour, and he adapted well to our humour and told some classic stories. Despite the rainy weather, we all collectively enjoyed the trip and would recommend this tour to absolutely anyone. Big thanks to Moha, for driving us a long way but staying in good spirits the whole trip. Another thank you to Deji for sorting out taxis for us even after the tour, to make sure we reached the airport safely. We will be visiting again for sure, and hope to see Moha and Deji again!

This is an incredible tour with wonderful people who drive all day, stopping off at various sights of importance as well as telling you about Berber culture on the way. Our guide Hamid was really kind and gracious, even buying us a giant box of dates after I mentioned how good they were! :). He took care of us for the trip and made sure we were picked up afterwards. The experience in the camp was also outstanding. Great people, delicious food, a gorgeous tent, fun music, and just an amazing landscape. The camel ride was exciting too. All in all, an experience not to miss!!! My highest recommendation to Aziz and everyone who made this trip work so wonderfully well!!

Wow. This was an absolutely stunning trip. Our guide and driver Mustafa was wonderful and flexible, stopping where we and the other couple we were with wanted to and open to passing things we were less interested in. He was exactly what we were looking for in a guide. The scenery out the window the whole drive was just gorgeous. Morocco is a stunning country with such geographic diversity it was wonderful to see from the car. The camel ride out to the camp in the desert was lovely and the camp was beautiful. We unfortunately didn't get to ride the camels back as we had to leave for Fez quite early which was too bad. Mohamed, our driver up to Fez was also excellent. Would definitely recommend Mouhou Tours to anyone else looking to do this loop.

Highly recommend Mouhou tours! They are a family company, we were lucky to have Mustafa as our driver and guide, super chill, great music, excellent knowledge and outstanding driving!
Couldn’t recommend highly enough - they have small groups (we were lucky to be just 4) which is a huge contrast to the large groups we passed.
Excellent service, and the luxury desert camp was perfect!

The experience of walking through the desert is amazing, but not as much as sleeping there! The night was so nice, we ate delicious food and afterwards our guides there sang some beautiful popular songs from the Sahara. Watching the sunsets and the stars from such an incredible spot left us speechless. We will come back for sure!

We finally made it to Morocco, after 3 long years due to COVID, and i am happy that we chose Mouhou Tours for this adventure of a lifetime . The owner Aziz was responsive to our emails in a timely manner. Aziz also constantly checked in with us throughout our trip, making sure we were doing well and that our expectations were being fulfilled. We traveled with our driver/ guide Hmad(Ahmed) for 14 days, all over Morocco . Hmad was punctual, had a great sense of humor, spoke 6 different languages fluently, was passionate/ knowledgeable about his country, and we always felt comfortable with his driving style, even during the crazy city driving of Marrakech and Casablanca. Hmad was very accommodating, a great listener as he understood what we wanted to get out of this trip . My husband was looking to try Berber pizza, but couldn't find it. Hmad surprised our family at the end of the trip with Berber pizza, made by his family. The experience in meeting his family, kids, relatives, will always have a special place in our hearts. By the end of this trip , we realized Hmad (Ahmed) has become a part of our family and saying goodbye to him was not easy . Mouhou Tours and Hmad (Ahmed) exceeded our expectations and unequivocally would recommend them to any future travelers, wishing to visit Morocco
Hmad, thanks for sharing Morocco/family with us and we hope to visit you and Morocco again in the future . Inshallah .

It's even hard to describe how amazing our tour was! Our guide Omar gave us tons of information about the country, answered all the questions we asked, and made us feel warmly welcomed! Every little detail was taken care of, we were all really surprised by the level of organisation! We have seen so many beautiful places, and our desert experience was absolutely the best! So happy we have explored some of Morocco outside major cities by joining this tour! Would definitely book again with them!

Hello. Were a family of 4, me, my husband and 2 teenagers (14 &17). Were heading to Marrakech on July and we only have 4 days to spare & would love to explore marrakech, sahara, fez and blue city. Is it doable for our time? If it's too tight, what would be your suggestion..then if we can visit all places, how much is it? Our dates are July 16 till 20, 2019.

We arrived around 7pm. Lunch took awhile as they stop at specific restaurants that are often busy.
A few stops along the way that ate interesting.
