We had a custom itinerary created by Wanderlust Travel that took us from Fes to the Sahara Desert and to Marrakech and placed in between. Khalid was our driver for the 7 days acting not only as driver but interpreter, tour guide (when we didn’t have special guides) and all around friend that shared insights about life in Morocco and patiently answered any question we had. It was great traveling under his care as he always wanted to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and traveling safely. (We had a surprise drive in snow through the Mid Atlas Mountains before reaching the Sahara Desert and Khalid navigated us through with ease.) I recommend Wanderlust Travel to anyone looking to travel to Morocco and Khalid as their driver/guide for your visit.

The tour was a wonderful introduction to Morocco! Wanderlust did a great job organizing and planning the trip. The itinerary for the ten days that my friend and I were in Morocco was well thought-out and gave us a good range of hands-on experiences and sightseeing tours.
We worked with Winnie to plan the trip and planning was very smooth and easy to do. Winnie took all of our suggestions and preferences into consideration and made a great itinerary. We also worked with Sara and Megan when we were in Morocco and they helped us as we had to rearrange our schedule due to flooding in the desert. We were in constant communication with Sara to make all of the rearrangements and changes to the schedule and she was fantastic.
One of the best parts of the trip was our driver, Khalid! Khalid went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of and enjoyed our trip. He was considerate, had a great sense of humor, and was always willing to answer our many many questions and share his knowledge about the places we visited. He was the MVP of our travels!
All of the accommodations were great. One of the things we enjoyed the most about each place we stayed was getting to know the people at the riads. Every riad had a unique atmosphere, and we had a lot of great conversations with the folks at each of the places where we stayed.
I highly recommend Merzouga, camel riding, and ATV-ing, as well as staying in the camps in the desert. We ended up with only one night in the camp, and we wished that we would have been able to stay another night or two in the camp and spend more time with the people that we met there. I also highly recommend Fez. There is so much to see and learn about art, architecture, history, and culture that I would recommend spending more than a day exploring the medina (with a guide!).

My friend and I booked our 11 day September trip through Wanderlust, creating the itinerary based on recommendations from friends, from the agent, and our own preferences. A lot of what Wanderlust recommended is what we ended up going with, and the trip was perfect!
For very reasonable prices, you get to travel in real comfort, safety, and have a great time. Our driver, Hamid, was an absolute pleasure, and he made it easy to spend so much time together in the car. We had opted to go to the Sahara, which requires several hours of driving on two days, little did we know it would be one of the best parts of the trip as we drove through the spectacular Atlas mountains! Hamid always knew the right places to stop for scenery, lunch, or a bathroom break.
We also loved our 2 Medina tours and both guides were friendly, well informed and easy to spend time with, and I highly recommend those. We asked them to include Jewish history in both cities and they readily accommodated that. We even extended the one in Fez because there were so much to see. We also had asked to go to the Bahia Palace, so our Marrakech guide took us there, and we wanted to see Majorelle Gardens on our own so Hamid got us tickets.
I picked our accommodations in Fez and Marrakesh, because I know what we like, but all of the other places were chosen by the agency and were very comfortable and good.
I had never used a travel agent before, but I do recommend it for travel to Morocco and I have already recommended Wanderlust to people who saw my pictures on Facebook and reached out.
It was truly one of the best trips of my life.

Wanderlust helped make our trip one of a kind. We started with a sample itinerary, and our agent was awesome in making modifications based on our flights and what we like to do. They were awesome in giving feedback and making suggestions based on what we like to do, and what we thought we wanted to do. They helped arrange a hike, and make some changes to spend less time in places with less to do, and more time in places with more to do. Our trip was Marrakech to Dades Valley, to the Sahara, to Fez, Chefchaouen, Rabat, and back to Marrakech, and some other fun stops in between.
Our guide and driver, Hassan, was incredible. It is one thing to have a driver for an 11 day trip with 6+ stops, it is a whole different thing to have a driver who is kind, communicative, and knowledgeable for that amount of time. I couldn't imagine a better experience, and Hassan is the main reason why.

Megan and Winnie of Wanderlust Voyages put together a most amazing custom 21 day Morroco trip for us. What is so wonderful about Wanderlust, is that they fully tailor your trip—not only to your interests, but to your activity level, and your budget. A short questionnaire starts of this fun, collaborative process.
We were interested in Morrocan craft, and were able to include a woodworking class, a rug weaving class, and a calligraphy session. Our indicated interest in food and cooking landed us in riads and kasbahs with excellent chefs, in a fun cooking class, and in a traditional clay oven kitchen where food was prepared as it has been for centuries,
What we appreciated most though, during our trip, was our driver Khalid (Khouati). He did so much more than make us feel 100% safe in Moroccan traffic. He had our comfort and well-being in mind at all times. He gave us insights into the culture that were just invaluable, while being fully in tune with our need to either talk, or just quietly look out the window. At one point we had accidentally left a jacket in a hotel in Fes, and Khalid managed to magically get it back to us in Marrakech. On top of all that, he invited us into his family home, where we enjoyed an amazing lunch. A true highlight of the trip.
If you are considering a trip to Morroco, go with Wanderlust. You will enjoy a trip that is made just for you, at a very competitive price.

Our trip to Morocco was an experience unforgettable! We came back home wishing to go back again! First we contacted Wanderlust Voyages and right away Megan and then Winnie efficiently answered, and helped us to plan a customize tour for three tight days, from Marrakech to Fes, then including a half fourth day when we had a short stop in Casa Blanca, from where we were going to take our late afternoon flight to our next destination.
It was amazing how in a brief amount of time we could see so many places in Morocco, and it couldn’t had been possible without our incredible driver Hamid, whom made our trip very pleasant. He drove us everywhere making sure that we could meet our expectations in this short visit.
He picked us from Marrakech a Sunday to take us to the desert, trip that takes two days with all the stops in emblematic places to see. Our star driver with his knowledge and expertise, made sure that we could experience the beautiful landscapes, rich culture, delicious food, etc, of a beautiful Country. Hamid was a driver, a tour guide, an adviser, a good friend; he made us feel satisfied, safe and happy in our entire vacation, we are very thankful for that!

I was SO impressed with the detailed planning by Wanderlust, as well as the flexibility of their itinerary. A few days ahead of our departure, we received a very detailed itinerary from Megan that really was customized to meet our family’s needs. Once we arrived in Morocco, we met our local guide, Ibrahim, who quite honestly made our trip unforgettable. His hospitality, honesty, and knowledge is very comforting when you are visiting a foreign country. He speaks wonderful English (among many other languages) and was a pleasure to travel with on our daily excursions. Wanderlust did a great job of providing several “free days” during our 8-day stay so we could explore on our own. The day trips were also very well planned. We took trips to Essaouira, Agafay Dessert, and the Atlas Mountains. I’d recommend ALL of them. Ibrahim was the best. I highly recommend requesting Ibrahim as your guide if you make a trip through Wanderlust to Morocco. He even had us over for dinner at his house to experience a local meal with his family! Thank you Wanderlust, and thank you Ibrahim for an unforgettable experience in a beautiful country!

Megan and Winnie designed an amazing tour for myself and my 20 &22 year old sons. We visited Casablanca, Fez, Agafay, the Upper Atlas Mountains/Ourika, and Marrakesh. Everything was so thought out and perfectly planned. We had amazing tour guides, Kamal, Ishmael, Muhammad, and Abdul, who took us around the Medinas, the cities, and helped us hike the mountains. Each was incredibly knowledgeable and had us transfixed with their explanations and stories of what we were seeing. Our driver, Hamid, became like family. He capably organized our trip, drove us safely, and made sure everything was perfect. He was also incredibly knowledgeable and the drives passed quickly because he had us entertained with his knowledge of Moroccan history. His sense of fun was infectious and we were all sad to say goodbye to him. We are already planning to come back to see the other areas we couldn’t fit in this trip. I highly recommend Wanderlust.

We had a wonderful, custom 2-week trip to Morocco organized by Wanderlust Voyages. Megan was very accommodating with our requests and included several stops on our wish list, including fossil hunting in Alnif and a visit to the oldest vineyard in Morocco, Domaine des Ouled Thaleb.
Our driver, Mohamed, was incredible – professional, helpful, thoughtful, cheerful, and informative. He was always on time, and flexible when we were running a bit late. Mohamed’s love and passion for his home country were infectious and he made our trip much more enjoyable than had we traveled alone. He took great care of us throughout our trip and even messaged us to make sure that we got home safely to the U.S.
We highly recommend Wanderlust Voyages and our driver, Mohamed.

In all honesty this may be the best tour experience we’ve ever had! Having accustomed to booking own trips, with accommodations and travel plans, the idea of reaching out to a professional tour operator such as Wanderlust has truly been a blessing!
Morocco is a beautiful country and when faced with a task of selecting the most over-encompassing way to see the beat parts, I was at a loss. Thanks to Megan from Wanderlust to organize this amazing custom tour for us, where we were able to see if not all, but most of the wonders of Morocco.
We started at Marrakech, staying at a beautiful Riad La Maison Arabe, with a street food tour, soaking in the atmosphere of local markets. A culinary masterclass the next day that was so well organized, I am still impressed! A tour of the city with a local guide and a trip towards Tanger the following day, stopping by Rabat, visiting beautiful kasbahs on the way.

Then a trip to Assilah by the sea, then blue city of Chafchauen, then ancient Fes with its tanneries and the most amazing Riad Fes. A visit to a winery, a tour of the city with a local guide. Afterwards we headed towards the Sahara desert, staying in a Riad Madu in Merzuga and dune bashing on quads. The next day it was camel trekking to the desert camp, with luxurious accommodations and stargazing listening to Berber music.
Headed to the cinema city of Ouarzazate and staying at a most comfortable Berber Palace, enjoying the spa and local restaurant and bar.
Final trip to Marakech and a visit to Majorell gardens and YSL museum before heading back home.
It was a trip to remember and definitely our favorite so far!
Special thanks and gratitude to our guide Mohammed (Momo) who made our trip so special with his love of the country, attention to every detail, punctuality and generally a wonderful attitude and character! We will remember you always and will recommend our friends to specifically request you as the best guide in Morocco!
