Gotta see Paul Bunyon holding a hot dog. We found Atlanta a charming stop on our Route 66 road trip. There was a car show of Vipers, murals, and the grain elevator museum.

This quaint little town (Atlanta Il) is host to this statue of Paul Bunyan (holding his hot dog). Great Route 66 sign on the tarmac. Good photo opportunity, and some nice badges on the wall. There are places to eat around as well. Wish I...More

One of the "muffler man" giants that inhabit Route 66, worth stopping at for the touristy photo. There's a few shops across the road, we didn't venture into them to check them out.

I really don't know what else can be said. It is exactly what I expected: a statue of Paul Bunyan holding a hot dog. If you're looking for statues of Paul Bunyan holding a flank steak or a meatball sub you may find that this...More

This is one of history icons along Route 66. Just across the famous resto of Palm Grill Cafe. Visit the museum or one of the little shops.

It's weird, I give you that. But it's a classic Route 66 giant next to a Route 66 park near a Route 66 restaurant and a (cool!) Route 66 museum. It's a nice place to stop and get a silly photo of a big man...More

Wow, Trip Advisor is begging me to review this statue. Ok, sure...why not? Well, it's a big statue of a guy holding a hot dog. I don't really understand it to be honest. I know these were originally made (or I believe I know) for...More

Even if you don't stop, the Paul Bunyon statue holding a huge hot dog is not to be missed. Fun photo opportunity.

Paul Bunyon was a lumberjack, who is usually associated with his blue ox, Babe, so why someone would have him holding a hot dog is rather strange, but if your in town then I guess you might wish to take a photo.

We stopped in Atlanta to see this statue and the Arcade Games Museum. Unfortunately the museum was closed but the statue was very cool. The Palms Grill Cafe across the road is really good and worth stopping for.
