Remarkable stop between Honolulu and Kaneohe. It was super windy when we were there, but it was well worth spending some time to take in the remarkable views. We even wound up buying a print of the view at a later stop during the day.

The lookout offers a panoramic view the northeast coast of O'ahu. Plan on pictures of mountains, the ocean, and highway tunnels. Historic markers commemorate the site where hundreds of O'ahu warriors were forced to their deaths off the cliff, during the Battle of Nuʻuanu (1795),...More

Multiple landslides have closed the road to the Pali Lookout. The state estimates it will take several months to re-open all lanes of traffic. As of Feb. 21, they are counter flowing traffic. So from 5-9 a.m. only traffic to Honolulu will be allowed and...More

So glad we made this stop. It was such a shock in change of temperature and wind that it gave us the giggles. Great outing.

Tough to come up here and make a valid recommendation since I went when the weather wasn't great. Even so, it was stunningly beautiful so I can only imagine it on a clear sunny day. It's a must see!

Tourists are surprised by the amount of wind and rain when they get to the look out. It is a beautiful view of the "aina" (island) but it is very windy and children under 3 should be watched carefully....they are just too light...yep it's that...More

Easy drive from Waikiki, on nice highway. Then easy walk from the ( paid) car park. Gorgeous views, a bit windy on the day we went.

Nu’uanu Pali Lookout is a historical landmark and scenic spot with panoramic view of Oahu. There is no entry fee, $3 for cars. Upon arriving there was a visitor being air lifted by a rescue unit due to falling down a cliff. I can not...More

Yes you can take Uber or Lyft up to the Pali Lookout. It would be rather expensive depending on where you are starting from. You would also probably have to pay the parking fee. Renting a car for a day would be easier and... More

I think it's just an "honor system" to pay if you decide to stop, park your car and walk up to the overlook. No charge for just driving through.
