Charlie is the best guide anyone could have on this adventure! It was so great to have someone else drive the road and narrate the drive. He knows so much about the culture and so friendly. I can’t wait to do this adventure again! So much fun!

We had an amazing time on our Road to Hana tour and Whale watching experience! The Road to Hana tour is personalized to you. Charlie takes care of everything and is so knowledgeable about the history of the island and takes you to the BEST lunch stop, bar none.
The Whale Watching experience was truly a once in a lifetime moment we will never forget. Charlie and his crew are some of the kindest people you will meet in the island and make sure you get to see plenty of whales while still respecting the whale's environment.

We had an amazing time on our tour of the road to Hana. Our guide (Sanoe) was personable, fun, and so knowledgeable about Hana, Maui, & Hawaii across the board. The tour is customizable but they come prepared with recommendations prepared if you aren’t sure what you want to see. A great lunch is provided & the views and experiences are unmatched. I highly recommend booking this tour on your next trip to Maui.

Our family did two trips with Epic Experience Maui - the Outrigger Canoe Snorkeling Tour followed by the Road to Hana tour. By chance, Vene was our tour guide for both experiences. Vene did a wonderful job welcoming us to Maui by sharing his stories and experiences. Both trips were customized to our family with young grade school aged kids.
I'm sure that we could have done the Road to Hana by ourselves, but it would have been a totally different experience. We learned a lot, relaxed, and had a lovely day with Vene. He took care of all of the details like park permits, timing, food stops, etc. Thank you Vene and Epic Experiences Maui team!

We met Christian (and Jollene) in Paia for a great morning of hiking and touring. We got lessons on Hawaiian linguistics and history on the drive to our first stop. The bamboo forest was stunning and the waterfalls they hid were a real treasure. We clambered down slippery slopes, through the stream, and over rocks to get to the first and second waterfalls. (My wife is a walker in real life but was concerned about her abilities on the terrain. Christian was patient and helpful so that we were all able to have a good time on the hike together.) Christian did the hike barefoot, but I am glad we had old sneakers to plod through the mud and streams. We swam and swung and then headed back to the road. From there we went a bit further along the Road to Hana, appreciating the undulating road. After a stop for tidal pools and banana bread we headed back. We finished up back in Paia with a nice lunch in town. All in all, a definite highlight of our trip and we had already passed along Christian's contact information before we even left Maui.

Christian and his dog, Jolene led us on an outstanding day trip to Hana. We loved the amazing hikes to waterfalls, the red sand beach and caving. Christian is an excellent tour guide. He confirmed the pick-up time and location in advance, asked permission to bring his adorable dog, arrived on time and led us on an incredible adventure to places we would never have found on our own. We highly recommend!!!

Christian and his wonderful little poodle mix companion Jolene were absolutely amazing tour guides for our day trip along the Road to Hana. They were accommodating for all of the things that my wife and I wanted to see, red sand beach, waterfalls, cliff jumping, picturesque stops, banana bread, all while giving us a fun look at the life and history of Hawaii! He was incredibly friendly and easy going and made us feel comfortable for the entire experience. After having ridden on the road to Hana, I saw many people driving the road themselves and would say if you are a comfortable driver, you could drive it yourself but I would never recommend it over having Christian and Jolene take you as they take away all stress and show you all the stops along the way. There are numerous places Christian took us that my wife and I would never have thought to stop that I am so glad he took us to! I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to enjoy the journey not only the destination!

Does anyone have experience with the 4hr kayak/snorkeling Makena turtle tour? Looking for a few details such as any snorkeling refresher beforehand and equipment provided. General feedback is appreciated. Thanks !
