We came here during a rainy week. The bathrooms at the top of the hill to the left of the bridge are easily the most disgusting things I’ve ever laid eyes on. This is coming from someone who very often uses remote composting toilets on...More

This arboretum is the best place to see Rainbow Eucalyptus trees on Kauai. There are at least 30 of them right at the entrance, and they are exquisite! Must see :)

Lovely forest, grassy areas and river. There’s a gentle peace about this park, and the stand of well-named Rainbow Eucalyptus trees is a wonder to look at. The mountain air is refreshingly cool and a nice change if the coast is too hot. The bridge...More

The car/pedestrian bridge is complete. There is also a new parking area and a few picnic tables. Depending on the weather it is possible to drive back in aways and see some beautiful areas of the park. Would recommend a high clearance vehicle as the...More

Bridge for pedestrians and cars is being built, which will be nice once finished for those that don't want to wade thru the water to get to the beautiful trees. Worthy stop for colorful photography of the trees along the river. Not much to see...More

It's a pretty drive through scenic countryside, but once there it's kind of vacant. You can walk through a forest of Rainbow Eucalyptus - which are spectacular, but there isn't much else to do. Locals come to swim in the nearby swimming hole and apparently...More

Use this address to find the Rainbow Trees: 7457–7485 Kuamoo Rd Kapaa HI 96746 Just keep driving Kuamo'o Road all the way to the end. Don't worry about notes of the creek blocking the road; if you have a low clearance car, just park and...More

This was a strange story. My wife and I are tree lovers and travel to arboretums around the world. We had planned to visit this one on our trip to Kauai, but scratched it early in our trip due to bad weather. However, a couple...More
