A beautiful old church. The church is the center of activities, for the village. There are always people in the church. It is a Catholic church, but there is evidence of Maya religion, being practiced along side of the Catholic services.

Quite a surprise in a quiet square away from the gringo tack. It lies 10 minutes away from the lakeside, so maybe the builders knew something about the changing water levels that we don't. Well worth a visit.
You will see an old church that is still used today. If your lucky there will be a Saints day celebration going on. Not to difficult as they celebrate Saints almost every week. Beautiful Saint statues inside, some in regional costume.
