I love to spend a morning driving through the wetlands at Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive. It opens at sunrise and closes at sundown on Friday, Saturday and Sunday only. Great opportunities for photography. I think Friday is the best day because there are fewwer visitors

This is a drive through the old Lake Apopka muck farms. It takes about an hour. You'll see plenty of alligators and birds along the way.

Bring your big cameras and make sure to allow plenty of time. You are pretty much guaranteed to see alligators, plenty of birds and just gorgeous nature scenery for miles.
