Stayed in LoDo but wanted to get out and explore so took the H train down to the Dayton station and took in a day of hiking/walking. Was NOT disappointed! Beautiful lake, trails were gorgeous and the weather cooperated. It was a long jaunt, about...More

Well kept park petfect for family or solo visits. Clean. Multiple activities to enjoy. Camping, biking, walking, boating. What makes it special for me is accessibility. Located within driving distance of the Denver Metro area. Great for week or weekend trip without having to escape...More

If you visit a big park like that, paying a fee to enter you expect that there should be a fountain that works inside or at least a place where you can buy a bottle of water. Unfortunately I had to leave the park early...More

The last time my toes went in this water, the were told to get out. Turns out a dead guy needed to be pulled out. That was 35 years ago. Now, I curse this park as it jacks up traffic from DTC to the east...More

Wonderful park to hike, no matter what your skill level! Love walking the dogs here, no matter what the weather! Wish I lived in CO - I would frequent this park all the time!

Have used Dixon’s Grove for company events in the past. The pavilion is helpfully shaded with picnic tables. The grove is shaded and has a small beach. Restrooms are nicely maintained. The state park is located conveniently close to Aurora and Denver.

This is a great place to walk your pooch....walk one-self...or meet for a picnic. If you are lucky, you can glimpse some great wildlife too! I loved taking my pets for leashed and unleashed walks.

Big open spaces for whatever you want to do. Not a lot of natural splendor, but it's nice. Park is geared towards picnics and fishing more than pure nature, but you might see pelicans, prairie dogs, and the usual birds and fowl. The 30+ mile...More

We don't have a dog, but once you're in the park there doesn't seem to be any additional charges for using the facilities.
