We planned our trip to the refuge to see the Sandhill Cranes. We saw thousands of cranes and other migratory birds. The views were spectacular too. Definitely worth the trip.

How wonderful! Great place for the Sand Cranes! If I lived closer I would love to visit and walk around without the cranes.

We spent about an hour and a half on the refuge. The office was closed, but there are bathrooms at the entrance and a good refuge map. The terrain is quite flat with a lot of ponds and a lake. We saw lots of ducks...More
