There is no question this is a beautiful beach. With a view of Trinidad Head, the expanse of the Pacific Ocean, the dunes and beach as far as you can see, it's one of the wonderful places vacationers flock to year round. For that, I...More

We take our dogs here every week. Great place to let them run in the surf. Just be responsible and bring a leash. Leash your dog when you approach horses or other dogs on leash. And bring a bag to pick up their poop. There...More

We had a long (4 mile round trip?) walk on this marvelous sandy ocean beach from the tiny parking lot to what must have been Moonstone County Park. The beach has a view of Trinidad Head with its offshore seastack rocks nearby. At Moonstone are...More

There is a small parking lot that seems to limit the number of people. Dogs are welcome but must stay on leash until you get to waters edge. Also accessible from Hammond Trail. We always enjoy Clam Beach.

We came from an area which was around 100 degrees. It was nice to visit the beaches at 61 degrees. We were only there over the weekend, but everything was excellent.

Decided to stop by clamp beach on the way to humbolt and were surprised to find it was less people during morning low tide and the sand were very fine and nice to walk on. Beautiful long stretch with ocean waves along.

I am thankful for this local beach as it is easy to access when parking is available (varies with days/times and # of horse trailers!). You can walk forever and might be lucky enough to find a fully intact sand dollar shell. You'll see kite...More

The parking might be difficult to find in the morning but the walk by the beach is the worth trip! This is a good place to explore the rocks.

Clam Beach is a favorite of ours when we visit Humboldt. It's quiet, serene and a beautiful stretch of beach to walk along and collect shells.

Lots of byways to pull into, and make your way to the sea. We pulled into a paved parking area, and slogged thru the sand to the beautiful Pacific. Wind was going pretty strong, and the temp of it was near icy. Didn't get down...More
