There is free parking. The primary entrance is up a rather steep gangway. There is a special handicapped entrance (Information is at the main entrance). Once you board the ship you pay your admission fee. You are then directed to a short orientation film. One...More

Our grandson is in awe of the cockpit of a fighter jet and grandpa shares his enthusiasm! Our family enjoy strolling by a number of air craft while introducing our 4 year old grandson to a few “stories”. It is pure fun. The addition of...More

This was a great place to visit. You learn a lot within a short amount of time. The docents are very knowledgeable and provide a great tour. The set up of the tour is nice too. Once you pay to get in you can leave...More

If you are at all interested in recent naval history you will love going on the Hornet. Went with my wife and brother recently, neither of which are particularly into ships, but they enjoyed the tour also. So, first of all it, is easy to...More

I really loved this place, it´s so interesting and full of history. The veterans do a great job explaining everything the can of the ship. It´s really worth it.

I've been to 3 different Navy ship tours - USS Alabama, Intrepid, and now Hornet. I would say Alabama is #1, Hornet #2, Intrepid #3. All were great. I only had about 2-2.5 hours, but could have easily spent more time. If you can do...More

No more than 20 minutes from Oakland International. Anywhere from 40 to 90 minutes, depending on traffic, from SFO.

I'm sorry but there are no buses that go near The Hornet from the Ferry Building. You would have to either call a taxi or use Uber.
