A word to the wise: get up early. Before sunrise. That’s when the miracle happens: the lakes, the moose, the elk, the big birds, they are all their at the first sign of daylight. And don’t forget your camera! I’ll let the pictures do the talking

Don’t not skimp on the Grand Tetons. There is so much beauty there. We spent three days in the area and hit everything. The only thing we didn’t get to do was ride the boat across Jenny lake to go to inspiration point due to a pop up storm. We stopped at all the open visitor centers, made every stop and loved it all. We were able to view our first black bear in Coulter Bay.

Beautiful mountains! The three main tetons (which is French for "breasts") stand up so majestically! We took the grand loop counter-clockwise so we could view the mountains ahead of us instead of in our rear view mirror. So many places to stop and view the amazing scenery! It is indescribable! Breathtaking!

There is just something about the Tetons that captivates me. It is dramatically scenic, not as crowded as Yellowstone and it’s more peaceful. We spent two full days exploring the area taking in the views and hoping for a peak of the wildlife. After taking the Aerial Tramway at Teton Village we entered the National Park at the South Entrance. We visited the Laurance S Rockefeller Preserve and the Craig Thomas Discovery & Visitor Center, both very nice. We saw a moose at the moose pullout. We visited the Chapel of Transfiguration and the Chapel of Sacred Heart, both peaceful retreats. We floated down the picturesque winding Snake River on a Wild & Scenic Raft Trip. We enjoyed the well placed Turnouts & Overlooks. Visited the Jenny Lake area and stayed at Jackson Lake Lodge. Drove up Signal Mountain Rd and took in sunsets at Oxbow Bend.

The views here are spectacular. We took the 42 mile drive and stopped at every designated spot to get a view. It takes approximately 5 hours to do the entire drive with stops to take photos and be in awe. The scenery is awe inspiring. We saw bison and moose. The view of Mount Moran and Jackson Lake left me breathless. For me this was an experience of the splendor and power of nature and a reminder of how it feels to truly connect with the splendor of nature.

This is a picturesque place. Although absolutley beautiful in the winter, when everything looks like winter wonderland, it is best to visit in the spring/summer. In winter, almost everything is inaccessible and the roads are closed due to the heavy snow. But in the spring/summer time, once all the snow is thawed, the lakes become accessible and the blooming plants with the snow covered mountains in the background just create a spectacular sight. There are lots of hiking trails around the lakes, I would recommend bringing a cooler with plenty of snacks and drinks if you plan to explore.

This review is not about the park it is about National Park Reservations who took my reservation for June 2021.
Due to the pandemic I could not go in June so I cancelled this reservation. I knew there was a 30$ cancellation fee what I did not read in the fine print was the 11 % of the room value added on for cancellation. I ended up paying $ 109.00 to cancel a reservation for June 2021.
If I booked directly to Jackson Lake Lodge I would not have been charged the extra $ 79.00.
Please be aware if you ever want to book at any National park in the US do not use National Park Reservations book directly with the hotel.

If you have time in your trip to at least drive thru the Grand Teton national park, definitely do it. It is beautiful and a fraction of the size of Yellowstone, so very doable in a day. We went to Jenny Lake and took a boat to the mountains for a hike to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point. We went on Father’s Day and got there around 11am and the parking was crazy! I highly recommend getting there early. It costs $50 for a family of 4 to go round trip on the boat. Even though it was a busy day, it only took us 20-30 minutes to pay and get on the boat. The boats run frequently. The way back we waited about 15 minutes, so that was nice. We had 4 little ones with us, so the hikes took quite a bit of time, but they were fun and very beautiful. It was definitely a fun thing to do in Grand Teton. I wish we had more time to explore the park longer!

It's truly amazing that this National Park is located so close to Yellowstone and that you can see both on one trip because Grand Teton is worth a trip all by itself. It's spectacularly beautiful and there's so much to see and do here. The mountains themselves are just gorgeous and picturesque even when seeing them in the rain like we did. The hiking is also fantastic here and the Taggart Lake Trail and hike to Hidden Falls/Inspiration Point were ones we would do again tomorrow if we could. We ended up coming here just for one day on the tail end of a Glacier/Yellowstone trip and we will definitely be coming back just for Grand Teton. It's 100% worth it to visit and it's a place that will stay with you for a while!

Beautiful!!!!! Gorgeous scenery! Be sure to do the Taggart Lake hike for stunning lake views. We took the ferry across Jenny Lake and hiked to Inspiration Point. It’s steep, but soooo worth it! Plus, there are some gorgeous waterfall views along the way to the pinnacle. Get to the Jenny Lake area early in the day, as parking fills up quickly, plus the wait for the ferry gets longer as the day goes on. We drove out to the Jackson Lake Dam area which was a nice drive with a lovely chapel along the way. A highlight for us was a float trip down the Snake River. The views of the Tetons from the float are amazing, plus we saw multiple bald eagles along the way. Our float trip guide was so knowledgeable, so we learned a great deal about the area from his talk during the trip. We spent almost two full days at Grand Teton, and while I’m sure we didn’t see it all, we felt that we definitely covered the highlights well.
