First of all the movie gives you no idea how steep the steps are. It takes quite a hike to climb them plus some clown is apt to try to come up behind you to scare you. But for fans of the truly scary movie...More

Are you in good shape? No? Then you better visit from the top of the steps and not the bottom. So these steps are no joke. Climbing these, even for a person with moderate exercise is likely to be a challenge. I've done it a...More

WOW - after all these years... still brings chills to me! But take my advise, do not go to the top of the hill, but rather stay at the bottom of the hill to see the steps. Looks up is better!

If you like the movie, definitely check it out. Otherwise, though it's brutal, you might as well use them to get from M street to Georgetown because it's fun!

Plan your visit to Georgetown to walk up or down the Exorcist steps. Why not? It's excellent exercise and an insider activity.

We took a ghost tour of the area and it touched on this scene from the exorcist. The tour ended here and we could use the stairs if we wanted.

There’s a gas station sharing the parking lot which makes it confusing. Cool to let the kids run around and take a couple pictures. If you like movie locations this is a cool place.

These steps are very steep, so be careful and wear sensible footwear. Also, if you are looking to take photos be prepared to wait on all the exercise freaks using these steps to workout. They don't care about your memories, just their stupid health. Worth...More
