It's an Episcopal church that has been around since October 1816. There's a lot of history within this church. Every President since James Madison has attended this church at least one time while serving in office. Supposedly Madison's rented pew was actually Pew 28, but...More

We enjoyed the church, the stained glass windows, and the service. It was Palm Sunday, so there were plenty of palm branches.

We were not able to attend a service here, but enjoyed stopping in for a quick visit to soak in the historical significance of this beautiful small church.

On the north side of Lafayette Square across from the White House, this church deserves a visit. Dating from the early 19th century, the outside is yellow trimmed in white, while the inside features dark pews with dark-rose cushions. The interior is rather plain, but...More

This is a small church across the park from the White House. It is pretty small and I didn't find it all that interesting. Overall, not really worth going out of the way to see.

If you find yourself in Lafayette Park take s walk across the street to this small unpretentious yellow church. Many Presidents have come here to find guidance and a little piece. It may work for you!

Small church, visited by many presidents. They had a noon music performance that I couldn't attend, but was there to listen to the musicians practicing. Be sure to view Lincoln's pew, located in the back right of the church.

We stayed at the W Washington DC Hotel, 515 15th St. NW. It was very comfortable, though a bit pricey.
