Beautiful lake and park area North of the WWII Memorial. Easy to miss but well worth a visit. Lovely relaxing lake with lots of benches to sit and watch the world

Most visitor to the National Mall know about and appreciate the Reflecting Pool, but many miss out on the beauty and tranquility of the Constitution Garden, which have a marvelous natural pond. It even has wild ducks populating the pond. With views of the Washington Monument across the water, it's a very appealing place!

We walked past these gardens on our way up the Constitution Avenue towards the Lincoln Memorial. It's quite a peaceful area with enough park benches to sit down on and watch the world go by. Perhaps annoying is the number of people on bikes, electric scooters and Segways who come through this way with disregard to those of us on foot. Oh well.

Beautiful garden by the National Mall. Not much to see or do but ideal to walk or sit for a picnic. Worth taking a few pictures too

This quiet little garden set off the side of the National Mall is a real gem. It's beautiful and attracts some lovely wildlife. It was a wonderful place to go birding.

I have been here many times over the years. It is right on the National Mall and it is a good place to sit down for a little bit and rest. There are usually ducks there that you can feed. I would not make a special trip to go here but since it is right on the Mall, you almost have to go, even if it is just walking by.

The paths through Constitution Gardens are lined with beautiful trees and shrubs. Benches provide a place to sit and enjoy the scene. Water fountains very welcome on the very hot day of our visit. The lake could use some cleaning up, but was clear enough to see fish and frogs. Lots of duck on the shores. Warning: inexperienced riders of electric bikes, scooters, and Segways are a hazard to pedestrians.

Constitution Gardens reminds me a lot of Central Park in NYC. It's a bit of an oasis in the middle of a crazy city! It runs from the Lincoln Memorial to the WWII Memorial and includes a large pond, several walking paths, and a bit of peace and quiet!

For the past week and the foreseeable near future, the pond is being cleaned with dumpsters of organic waste. You probably should avoid walking around this due to the smell. Walk around the reflecting pool instead.
