I enjoyed visiting this theater. Everyone was so nice! There was not a bad seat in the house. Nice refreshment offerings and comfortable seating. Get a stampede ticket (when available) two hours before the show for $20. Great value!!!

Not sure when Wooly Mammoth moved to D St, but love the location and the layout of the performance space. Just saw Familiar, a wonderful, warm, funny and emotionally rich play by Danai Gurira. Good view from anywhere in the fully modern and thought designed...More

My boyfriend and I celebrated NYE here after a Second City show. He turned me on to this theater. We also saw Octaroon in the fall. I love the smaller size theater. There’s really not a bad seat in the house. IF you are a...More

I found a cheap fare from Orlando and fled to Washington for the duration of hurricane Irma in September 2017. The Wooly Mammoth was running "The Arsonists" which I'd seen as "The Firebugs" back in the early 1970s. The play had been political but not...More

We saw "Nothing to Lose But Our Chains" (presented by Second City), written by Felonious Monk, who also starred in this thought-provoking production. This is a "hip" theatre which produces new and innovative work in a compact space. The theatre has floor and tiered seating...More

We went to see Pike St. at the Mammoth. A truly sensational and emotionally draining one-woman production. If you want to see it, hurry: the run ends April 24, 2017. I'd somehow never seeen anything at the Woolly Mammoth before, in spite of living in...More

This is a good theatre that offers new and emerging works, usually those with a good dose of social commentary. The plays are always well presented and well acted. If you are poor, they have pay-what-you-can nights and if you're on a tight budget the...More

We went to the "Black Side of the Moon" this past weekend. Great, intimate theater with not a bad seat in the house. The very talented cast was from Chicago. I'm sure they aren't there for long, but I would definitely go back to Woolly...More

Fun, inspired, and provocative show with a great group of talents. I would recommend to friends living in the DC area or visiting.

Woolly is the best small theater in DC. Engaging performances, top level talent, fresh new stories, and excellent set design. I'll keep coming back.
