    Good remembrance
Good Memorial, with many different elements. Good water features and Fala, FDR's favorite pet, is also featured in the main piece. There's even a depiction of a Great Depression bread line depicted on the grounds.

    Well Thought Out
I was pleasantly surprised by this monument to FDR. We went there on our way to the Mall and I’m glad we took the time to visit here. It was quiet when we were there, about 10:30am on a Wednesday and it’s setting is thus soothing and relaxing. The statues and water features all formed a coherent whole and make for a suitable monument to a momentous President.

    Fabulous less-visited memorial!
The FDR memorial is sprawled along the southwest banks of the Tidal Pool. The memorial is less visited than many others, because it's further afar than the main grouping of attractions along the Mall. But, it's extremely well done. Impressive and tasteful, with calming waterfalls, statues, symbolic stones, inscribed inspirational quotes. A visit to the FDR memorial may make people ask, "What happened to the America that once cared about the down-trodden, the poor, the disadvantaged? Where are the visionaries in politics with big, grand ideas for making America better?"

This is how a memorial should be, just beautiful and so relevant to him
We walked here as part of a self guided tour of all the memorials. Initially I thought is that it and I walked on. Then I realised that this memorial is laid out in such a way as to recreate each term of office that he served from 1933 to 1945. Instead of reaching upwards it stretches over 7.5 acres with various tranquil water features, bronze statues and quotations. Not being of American descent and this not as familiar with each President’s term in office it certainly left me questioning how far the country is now from his objectives.

    Very impressive
I really liked this one. It makes a change from all the Greco-Roman style monuments. The quotes are well chosen and make you think. The statue itself is well done, though of course his dog steals the show! I most liked the waterfalls. A sign explained that the seeming messiness of them reflects the Cold War and the fact that it was messy too, but it kind of worked. It sounds crazy, but I know what that means. What stayed most with me though was the quote - “I hate war.” Indeed so.

Very original and the only presenting also the First Lady
The Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial is dedicated as the name suggests to the 32nd president of the United States Franklin Delano Roosevelt. It is very original and definitely worth seeing. It was dedicated in 1997 by president Bill Clinton. It is really impressive, consists of various sculptures, water and is quite big in space as it is divided into 4 spaces devoted to his different periods of office which lasted 12 years. It also as the only one shows a First Lady, as there is a statue of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt next to UN emblem, which honors her involvement in UN. In the Memorial you can see for example Franklin Delano Roosevelt with his dog Fala, there are also scenes from the Great Depression. There is also braille writing available for visitors. The Memorial is situated 13 min walking from the Lincoln Memorial, 20 min from the Washington Monument.

While I might not hold FDRs legacy in as much esteem as some, I do hold this memorial in highest esteem. It is beautifully architected, exceptionally well laid out, and wonderfully executed. The cool thing is that this memorial is not a single statue or obelisk, but an entire walkable story of an important legacy, artistically presented.

This one feels relaxing. It's spread out that it doesn't feel crowded. Lots of shade and quotes. Great water features and statues. Worth the stop.

We went to this memorial 5 years ago at night and it was spectacular. The lighting really made it a special event. It was so impressive that I made it a point to have relatives visit the memorial at night. What a bad move, 1/2 of the lights that were in the trees were blocked by leaves, 25% of the ground lights weren't working. Hopefully, this will get the park service's attention and they'll put it back into AAA condition.

Huge memorial that stretches for several hundred yards featuring lots of statues and monuments and words about the great man. Also features FDR's wife and some tributes to the work he did during The Great Depression

Not to be missed. There are quite a few exhibits featured in this Memorial, almost like an outdoor museum or sculpture garden. Recommend using bug spray, especially in the warm season. Warning: unfortunately the water fountains were not working during my visit.
