Definitely a must see and be prepared to go for 2 days or more to enjoy the full scope of the museum. I have been three times and will go back again.

First let me say that I love the museum content. However the set up is not crowd friendly and there are ALWAYS crowds. I was traveling with my two year old in her stroller and there were a lot of places that were so tight...More

A visit to this museum starts with a descent into the depths of slavery from the 15th century. The journey continues as you ascend through time into the modern era. The upper floors are dedicated to culture, music, sports and the military. The building is...More

One of my favorite places in DC already. Breathtaking in every way. Ended our tour with DC Insider Tours here and could not be happier with the decision. Your emotions will run the gambit. A must-visit.

Spent a few hours at the museum for our first visit May 21. The museum was full but didn’t feel over crowded given soaring ceilings and light space. The exhibits were well organized and moving. We felt like we needed more time and my daughter...More

The museum was so big and beautiful. I really enjoyed walking around looking at all of the history it has to share with the world. It was my first time visiting. I would definitely come back.
