We were exploring the Lincoln Memorial and decided to stroll off the path a bit. We ended up on a new path, descending down along the familiar black granite wall to one side. We didn’t expect to have come upon the Vietnam Memorial, which we...More

As you descend along the monument, you see the names of all those we lost and you cannot help being moved. There's a directory to help located the names of loved ones and Park Service people available with ladders if you need a rubbing of...More

It is one of the most thoughtful monuments in Washington. It leaves a deep impression. There are always families and comrades that reflect upon the losses of their loved ones and comrades. It is humbling.

There’s nothing like it. All those names. The kids got it. We didn’t have to say a word. Take the 30 minutes to experience it.

A quiet place with a very solemn feeling in the air. The design is well done. A must see for every DC tourist.

My kids were fascinated by this memorial, its size and beauty. The wall is always special to visit, and we got to see it at night this time.

Solemn and quiet. People were very respectful of each other and Veterans were willing to do rubbing of names for family members of the fallen.

When they first showed the design, I was not in favor of it and in fact preferred the soldiers they have nearby. However, it is a stark reminder of the perils of war. The names are established by date of death Center to the ends....More
