This trail is so much fun! Part of it runs along the ocean and you can see ships and a logging company in full operation. Ediz Hook has a 5 - 6 foot bike lane and protected from winds.

What an incredible bike ride! This gorgeous path, mostly paved, goes around the bay, including right through Sequim Bay State park. You can ride for many miles and it would be fun to have someone at the other end to pick you up (we didn't...More

We've lived and biked in Kitsap County for over forty years but have never had such a fun ride as we've experienced these past two days, exploring the Olympic Discovery Trail. Yesterday we started out from The Red Lion Inn in Sequim and headed east...More

I am a 69 year old, currently retired. I walk this beautiful scenic trail every day. I am currently living nearby. The farthest I have gone is about 5 miles toward Lake Sutherland. I then double back. I do believe that a permanent sani-pot or...More

The Olympic Discovery Trail is a gem. It's a great outing for a family or group of friends. Start from the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribal Center and ride through Sequim to the old rail bridge over the Dungeness River - you'll be glad you did. Such...More

The Discovery Trail for running is located down Brown St (street next to the motel) to Fir – go left or right. Left takes you past town, open areas, and farms. It’s very pretty and paved. You’ll need to watch out for the signs to...More

We went for a nice fall hike today. We started at the trailhead on Strait Drive just east of Port Angeles. The trail is fairly level all the way west to Port Angeles. The beginning of this part of the trail crosses Morse Creek on...More

I generally bike on the road, but this trail was an excellent way to see the sound and the north shore of the Olympic Peninsula. A bit rough where you go through Port Angeles, but the ride on a paved path from west end at...More

I love that there are so many different sections of the trail. Even the part of the trail that goes through neighborhoods is still fun. The weather in this area is fantastic. It's still pretty cool, temperature wise, even in the summer.
