We had an excellent time looking round the tower and buildings of the Convento de San Francisco de Asis and the cathedral. You could see right across Trinidad and into the hills beyond.

An interesting museum, but not all displays are available in English. Some larger tanks and items in the internal square of the museum. It is free to visit, and so is the tower, which is definitely worth climbing up to get some beautiful 360 views...More

We visited the Museo de los Bandidos based in it, which gave us info not easily available otherwise, and from the tower and terraces of the beautiful building you've got great views of the city

Worth climbing this tower. It offers great views of the city and the surroundings. Close to Plaza Mayor

Sure it involves a bit of a narrow and rickety staircase but the views from the top are sensational. There is space for quite a number of people which means that you can sidestep the incessant selfies fairly easily. A great place to relax.

The museum is less worth visiting. But the site gives you the feeling of being in other ages. One of the must see.

Absolute must-do in Trinidad! The view from the tower is breathtaking! The exhibition seems a bit outdated and captions are only in Spanish.

Awesome views await you as you clamber up the wooden staircase - past the bells (imagine how they got hoisted up) - note that there is another tower just 3 blocks away that is also worth a climb (Museum of History in Senor Canterra;s Mansion)

Definitely worth the walk up a winding staircase to see the outstanding scenery. The colorful buildings, mountains and country side of Trinidad come alive from this vantage point.
