The collection and the Information given was interesting but the building itself was more interesting. It housed an old city's Merchant and offers you a good taste of how aristocrats were leaving on early 1800's.

although the historical center of trinidad is itself an archituctural museum, there is importance to visit the museum in order to understand some concepts of trinidad's houses and neighburhood

It explained the migration patterns which first populated Cuba and contained many fascinating exhibits of archeological finds. Again, some Spanish would have been helpful but I managed...More

You have to be prepared that the museums on Cuba are not so rich and big like in Europe. Bit they have their style and you can see the roots of cuban people

This place won't keep you busy for hours but for 1cuc it's worth a look in. Assorted antiquities found mostly during rennovation work. A bit of the history of the slave and sugar trades here also.

I stopped here while on a group tour. The admission fee was very minimal, but it will cost you an extra 5CUC to take photos. All of the signs are in Spanish, but if you have a basic level of it, you can understand what...More

Humboldt once stayed in this private mansion now converted in a public museum with exhibits and time diagrams which represent Cuba's distant past and the multiple layers of Native Cultures which inhabited the Island before Columbus. There are also many objects from the colonial period,...More
