Very spectacular views and Picton is a small buttery pretty village. Nice cafes and you can walk around town in an hour or so

Very pretty part of New Zealand. Feels quite remote and it can take time to get to places, but entirely worth it.

Probably the best moment of our trip to NZ was when our ferry from the North Island entered the Sound. The scenery literally took my breath away and from the awed silence of the other passengers, I don’t think I was the only one.

The air museum at Omaka was designed by Sir Peter Jackson (he of "Lord of the Rings" Fame) and he let his set designers loose. It's got to be one of the best small air museums in the world.
