Easy to follow path, well marked. Carpark free. Great views of queen Charlotte sound. Walk is split into two, first walk to the viewpoint and then to the head of the peninsula. It recommends 3hrs walking in total we probably did it quicker. Picnic benches...More

Lovely panorama once you get there. Best option is to drive up to the parking lot at the beggining of the treck and NOT walk up from Picton Marina, as we did. Hardly any markers, confusing treck and maps that are not up to date....More

We wanted a day next to nature and got off the cruise ship and found our way easily. We were so welcomed by the people of Picton who will help you get your bearings and offer advice. Such a nice place. IT was very hot...More

We are social walkers so this tramp to Bob's Bay was just right in the heat. Along a well defined slightly hilly narrow path to a secluded small bay, by the Sound, was just right. Picton is a small town with a pretty marina.

Great walk for most of the way. We parked in one of the bays just before the short track down to Bob's Bay on the left, having stopped at the lookout just beforehand first for excellent views over the harbour. The first half of the...More

Really enjoyed this walk. I found it moderately difficult but not too hard. There is a toilet along the way. The view at the end of the snout into the sound is amazing, well worth the effort!

Well signposted walking track from the marina which offers lovely views of the sound and looking back towards Picton. Due to time restraints and being solo, I only walked to Bobs Bay which took about 1-hour return. Generally easy walking with a few steep inclines.

Had researched and planned this walk for while on a cruise that stopped in at Picton. Can't really get lost. Go over coat hanger bridge in Marina and keep left. First walk takes you out to Bob's bay which was a very cute little beachfront...More

A lovely walk/hike that can be as hard or easy as you want to make it. Lots of undulations but not too hard for most walkers (wear good walking shoes though!). The sights all along the walk are to die for and well worth the...More

OK, so the actual Snout Track IS a walking track. But there's a parallel mountain biking trail which is superb! The trail has fantastic views of the water below. In some areas, it was a bit narrow and you could see where there will soon...More
