This visit was a real treat. My wife and I spent five hours touring the facility. The information panels are well written and easy to read, without being too technical. The volunteers roaming the museum were very friendly and knowledgeable. A great day.

What a brilliant surprise this place is! This museum covers the Australian Army's Western Australian history, from colonial times through to the latest peacekeeping duties. In my opinion it has the second best Victoria Cross display in Australia, only pipped at the post by the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. The staff, both volunteers and Army, were extremely helpful and welcoming, making the whole visit so much better. Depending on your level of interest in the history, this can take anything from 1 to 4 hours to take in all the presentations and the information.

Fantastic Museum located very close to Fremantle and manageable from Perth. The exhibitions were new, with the right amount of detail and diverse. There was a significant amount of Military equipment too and the volunteers were absolutely exceptional. Visiting from the UK and being in the military, if my regiment had a museum anything like this then I would be ecstatic. I visited with my elderly grandfather and he thoroughly enjoyed it too. 10/10 must visit.
