Ancher's house is the third attraction in the trio with Skagen's Museum and Drachmann's house, and included in the economic kombi ticket if you so wish.
It's an impressive house loaded with furniture, and of course, paintings and other artefacts. Going through every room you can get a feel for what daily life would have been like. The Ancher couple were leading lights in the Skagen group of painters and obviously financially successful as well.

Well maintained home of the Anchers with a lot of original furniture, fixtures and paintings. Great experience to see their home. We enjoyed the beautiful garden as well.

We got a pass that covered three museums and so glad we got to check this one out. There are so many paintings and artifacts, plus the fact that 3 famous artists lived here and entertained many more. There is a lovely organic cafe plus they had a bonus photographic exhibit of the Ancher family that gave a glimpse into their lives
Worth a trip to see this unique museum

Former residence of the Skagen Painters, Michael and Anna Ancher. Lots of their own works and art collection.

The house has been left as it was when Anna Ancher died in 1935. It is fascinating to see the old kitchen and bathroom and all the fabulous paintings adorning the walls. Well worth the entrance fee and definitely not to be missed.

When visitin the most northern town i Denmark the Anchers Hus is a must do. It is in the house of the important Skagen Painters' Michael and Anna Anchers and offers a insight in their way of livin and working as artists.
It is, however, somewhat expensive for th 6-7 rooms it has (80 kr).

My wife and myself arrived in Skagen this morning aboard the Azamara Journey cruisevship and - as it was closed on our last visit - our first visit was to Skagens Museum (see separate Review).
Whilst there we learnt that Anchers Hus was in close proximity so we headed there next. On arrival the Receptionist - on learning that we had already visited Skagens Museum - suggested that we change the status of our ticket to a ‘Kombibillet’ as for a little additional money we would also be able to visit Drachmanns Hus. We duly did so and visited the latter in the afternoon (see separate Review).
Both properties were full of artefacts and interesting family history and - although Anchers is the larger of the two properties - they are well worth visiting. Anyone considering doing so should, however, not forget to buy a Kombibillet as this certainly served us well.
