My uncle Stanislaw Krawczynski was a medical doctor and member of Polish Parliament representing Sandomierz during period 1930 to 1939. After Germans invaded Poland in 1939 he was caught as a hostage and murdered with 780 other people by Germans in Brzasku in June 1940....More

Sandomierz is one of most beautiful cities in Poland. There are many restaurants, old buildings and views where you can see Wisla.

The Market Square is small but very interesting from an architectural perspective. Despite my visiting on a cold and drizzly day, I was still able to appreciate its beauty. In nicer weather, this place is likely to be truly atmospheric.
