It is a pity that the castle is restored, not original. Enter 7e for adults, 3.5 for students and elderly people, free for children (as for April 2018).

Trakai island castle is worth to visit in a nice sunny day. Located in small town about 30min drive from Vilnius. Nice breeze from the past and peaceful lakeside views.

I spent 3 hours in Trakai and it has been a nice experience. The Trakai Castle in winter is beautifully surrounded by a frozen lake which was very suggestive.

There’s a sled attached to a log to spin over the ice when somebody pushes you that it’s really funny!

The castle was entirely renovated. It’s worth a visit because the scenery is beautiful. You can even walk on the lake during winter.
