Despite the snow, wind and cold the views are breathtaking. Luckily it was a clear sunny day so we could see across to Russia, Kaliningrad. Nice bracing walk along the dunes.

Just next to the road on lagoon side, this impressive sand dunes were a nice surprise, we had a look at the pictures on internet, but being on the top of dunes to see the amazing view on both sides of spit was really overwhelming.

From the great sun clock monument you can admire the large sand dunes and get a glimpse of the Russian border. So close, and so distant...

Fabulous view from the top across to the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad. See the sea on both sides. Great cycle ride from here back to Klaipeda. Blessed with a local playing some beautiful violin music whilst we were there. Really special moment.

Must see place. A view on both shores of the coronian spit. facing the south you can see over the Russia border. An ancient rune sunclock completes it all.

It's like a snow covered landscape, but with sand instead of snow. And the view is quite astonishing. Bring your camera, and make some pictures there, that will fit nicely on your wall when you get home. Have someone help you, so you yourselves, can...More
