The most important and unique part of the exhibition focuses on interior parts preserved since different centuries (XIV-XX). This was a really great and deep dive into the history. Otherwise mostly standard history museum, though also good. Unfortunately, not everything was translated into English. Spent...More

It is an excellent museum which could be an example for the others. We found an exhibit even in the WC!

Very attractive castle. Rich history. Lot of things to see inside. Reccomend for whole family. You can spend here few hours or half a day.

Very nice castle to visit! Walking dustance. Cheap. The bad thing is that all info is in Latvia language only.

If somebody expect huge castle it is not like this. This castle is located close to the river near sea, fully renovated, but still keeping old shape. It is regional museum in here.

4 or 5 floors to learn history. Can be more interesting for the locals. Some interactive expositions for kids. Connection or old architecture and modern style. Nice staff. We spent there 2 hours. Nice garden outside.
