The palace is well preserved with beautiful furniture, paintings, original parquet etc. The palace gardens are really beautiful. We were there with an organized tour but it is worth make an effort to see this place

Enjoyed visiting the palace and the gardens - what a surprise to find such a place here! We used public transport (2 buses) to get there - all pretty cheap and ran to time both ways.

I have seen complaints that it difficult to get to this palace. However, HELPFUL HINT - car hire is very cheap especially for the day, and far cheaper than a private taxi or guided tour. Rundale is within easy reach of Riga and there is...More

We stopped here as part of our tour - didn't take the day trip, but I would say it's definitely worth a day trip from Riga. Interior and grounds are really nice, and our guide did a good job of explaining history and providing details....More

Take the bus from riga bus station to bauska(last stop) 3.05eur per pax, around 1.5hrs. At bauska station ask the lady at the station and she will direct you to the correct platform. Mini bus to the palace, 0.85euro per pax. Entrance fee 6.50euro per...More

This was an unknown place to me until now, Amazing place place, really. We were guided by a lady who had stayed in Norway for 7 years, and were really good at Norwegian. Afterwards we had lunch at a a nearby restaurant

A national gem of Latvia, Rundale Palace is a must-see, if you visit a country for more than just one or two days. It is a 1,5 h drive from Riga. The palace is completely restored, there are spectacular interiors (and no glass walls around)...More
