I agree with the other positive reviews. The style of the building is unique and captivating! It reminds me of the majesty of the Hotel del Coronado, near San Diego, California (the first hotel in the world to have electricity supervised by none other than...More

This is a beautiful building on Jurmala beach, you can use it as a landmark/reference point when walking... It's pretty to look at but you can't visit it or anything.

Beautiful house so close to the water. A good landmark and a must for watch architect lovers from early 1900ies. In a good shape since renovated in 2003.

We had lunch next to E.Racene in a new restaurant (not on TA), and it was surrealistic to watch this beautiful old house. Just sad to se it empty and desolated.

The bath house is an example of high class wooden architecture of past century. Feels a bit sad, that the house is now abandoned and getting to poor condition. Hopefully someone buys it and brings it back to its full glory!

Architecturally, there is a lot to recommend Majori. It is full of gorgeous timber houses in a quaint 'gingerbread' style with lots of windows to let in valuable and scarce Baltic sunlight and timber facades featuring lots of elaborate fretwork. These themes can also be...More
