A very nice looking fort and park, surrounded by narrow alleys and shopping area further down. The Nevsky cathedral is on the way; great view of Olaf's church as in the picture. Wish we had heard much more of the history.

The museum exhibits mostly seafaring and naval history. It is well made, but there is better museums in Tallinn - I can recommend the Estonian History museum for example.

This cannon tower was built in the 16th century to protect the harbor and to scare away invaders. Great museum there with old ships and artifacts. Lots of old history to be seen.

This is a great tower, very cute. But the maritime museum it houses is under renovations so you can’t go in (until 2019). So a bit disappointing.

We enjoyed walking around here. The weather was cold and still some snow on the ground which gave the place a nice atmosphere.

Another very beautiful gate into the old town of Tallinn, with pretty park lands adjoining. This narrow little gate with impressive bulwark.

A lovely sight to see as you walk from the ferry port towards the old town. It guides you into Tallinn and toward Long Street. Very pleasant indeed.
