We just shop around the stall at the town square but really nothing much to see or buy. It is ok I guess to spend about an hour or so.

We enjoyed our 4 days but struggled to find a good restaurant -no menus outside most, no idea what they served (We speak English and Polish and know a bit of French and German). We will not sit down, wait for a menu, only to...More

Had a nice short walk through Old Town. It’s not a large area, but pretty buildings, lots of restaurants, and a square. The square was one of the oddest things we have ever seen. Virtually every booth was essentially selling the same things - lots...More

A pretty, charming place that is easy to walk around. The Theater Square has a number of cafes surrounding it. A local craft stall area selling linen, wooden objects, and lots selling supposedly real amber. There is a proper amber shop a street away that...More

The old town is not so old. This is because of the extensive bombing during WW2. The city has restored some of the old buildings and built new ones in a classic style to give the old town a charming feel. They have also placed...More

A pretty old square with market stalls selling local souvenirs, surrounded by cobblestone streets, pretty old Germanic buildings & folk musicians playing. We also enjoyed a walk along the riverside park

Quite frankly, we did not do much prior research on this port of call by our Baltic Cruise. But we really enjoyed this neat gem of a port town with culture and history. We liked the Theater Square and appreciated the Fachwerk construction buildings where...More

Klaipeda has the old charm but is quite different from Vilnius which is much bigger. Klaipeda has many cafes and restaurants. It’s fun to walk and see boats, the river/canal, old buildings and cobblestone streets.

The old town of a city is usually interesting and although small lots of cobblestone streets give you a feel for Kliapeda including the main square. If you are here you will naturally do it.
