This is I am told the oldest house in the city of Kaunas. Located in a small street near both the Port and the Main Square it is certainly different with its towering red façade.

It wasn't open but was a sheer joy to look at from outside. An important piece of Kaunas history located off the town hall square

Perkuno namas is an oldest house in Kaunas. It's about 500 years old and situated on a main street at that time in front of an old port.

We couldn't get inside but from the outside it's really interesting with it's unique architectural style.

Medieval heritage in the heart of Kaunas. Unfortunately, it is the only building like this. Enjoy it :)

The buiding is fairly typical of its period and similar ones present in European towns. Being the only one around it is not adequate to create a particular ambience, just a curiosity.

We found our way here as this was one of the 'must see's according to our tourist information maps, and it's definitely an interesting-looking building, however I'm not sure I'd have noticed it otherwise!

One of the more impressive houses in the old city. It is a kind of a Gothic style, one of the oldest in Lithuania. 2-3 minutes away from this building, a great view over the river and part of town.
