The Ciurlionis artwork is lovingly exhibited at this museum, and the docent is pleased to discuss a variety of questions with visitors. Unfortunately, there is no information about Ciurlionis presented, nor can one learn about (or hear!) his music at "his" museum. While we loved...More

You can see works of art by Ciurlionis and other artists. The collection is diverse and well worth examining. Many of the pictures can be interpreted in multiple ways.

Can’t speak for the nearby Devil’s museum or the other galleries of the Kaunas National Beaux-Arts Museum, both of which were enjoyed by colleagues, because you need time for the focus of this elegant gallery space. One pass at Ciurlionis’ mysterious pictures is not enough;...More

I can get lost looking at his pictures for hours... It is my favourite painting museum and the music is also beautiful. It is hard to believe that he was so talented in two areas. On a small street, definitely worth of detour.

This museum isn't a huge bothering museum. You will feel great listening to supernice music, you will be happy to look at its nice pictures of a talented genius. It will be more interesting for you if you read some information about Čiurlionis before visiting....More

The Ciurlonio Museum is the main reason why we decided to visit Kaunas. It is hosted in a wonderful modernist building, centrally located. It occupies only a portion of such building; in the other areas you can find a collection of Lithuanian art and a...More

You can see the entire museum in an hour, but it has a lovely collection of works by Lithuanian artists, as well as a small amount of Japanese art. You can combine the visit with seeing the Devils Museum across the street.

Blake was a painter and a writer, Ingres was a painter and a musician, Ciurlionis (1875 - 1911) was a painter, a writer and a musician. Undeservedly, Ciurlionis attracts little attention except in Lithuania or among art and music scholars around the world. Most of...More

This small museum is about a 2-3 hour project. The admission is very modest (4 Euros for adults, 2 Euros for students and seniors) making it a bargain. Čirulionis was something of a polymath in his short 36 years. He is best known as a...More
