We were lucky enough to be visiting on a festival day where all museums could be seen for a flat charge of 2euro. I have to say I would not have paid the full price to come in here. The entrance is the same as...More

A collection of old items, most unlabelled and with no info. And the museum people follow you around like hawks so you feel at unease, literally standing behind our shoulders half the time. Would skip

Quite dry and not much to really see, all the rooms look the same. Avoid and go to the Town Hall next door instead.

We enjoyed this little-known museum, which attracted no other visitors besides ourselves on the day we visited. It is centrally located but the entrance is not especially obvious. The Bratislava Pass will get you in free here. These rooms (housed in the same building as...More

Some interesting furniture e.g. a porcelain table, but you have to work hard to generate enthusiasm due to the complete lack of flair in how everything is displayed. Not a patch on the professional manner in which exhibits are presented in the wonderful adjacent Old...More

I visited at about ten am on a weekday morning and had the place to myself. The rooms are beautiful and there are signs explaining the features in English. There's a range of furniture on display, as well as some costumes. The items on display...More

Here you see how people used to live, what furniture and objects were present in their daily life. A shock for us who live in opulent and well furnished houses.

The period rooms museum provides a glimpse into the city's history with fully-furnished rooms from past centuries. The audio guide was very helpful in explaining the history of the building and providing context for the exhibits. Note that the museum of viticulture is also included...More

This was 6 euros and you get to see the palace and the town hall interior. The rooms on both floor of the palace are in different period/styles so give a good impression of those times. The town hall has a nice view of the...More
