Another street statue. This time I have been said that some people believe the statue to be Napoleon, or an ex-soldier of him who became a vine producer after the war.

Bratislava and its statues, this one was particularly interesting and hilarious too. The locals like to have their pictures taken while sitting on the back of the statue (if weather permits).

Huge square with lovely restaurants, cathedral, horse drawn carts to ride and water fountain to walk through to refresh yourself from the heat. Interesting architecture all around. Statues pop up everywhere. Lovely city.

Napoleon and his Grande Armee passed through Bratislava on their way to disaster in Russia in 1812 and that is supposedly what this cheeky chappy is meant to represent. Unveiled in 1997 along with Cumil he is another of Bratislava Old Town's quirky statues and...More

Cute, well done statue in the square. Our tour guide was saying that people of Napoleon's era didn't like him and somehow this statue is to remind them of that. I didn't quite get it. Never the less, good photo opp here

Cool little photo op. Would not have imagined that Napolean would have such a presence in such a small Slovakian city.

This one located on a park bench right in front of the French Embassy is a fan favorite. People sit on that bench just like it was a regular bench (which it is) so most pictures will have some local or tourist sitting next to...More
