If you have got more than 3 days in Budapest and love serenity, do not miss this place. The chairlifts take you to the hills and then you can enjoy gardens, parks, monuments, trains all with a minimum of tourist rush.

We did this as part of the loop which includes the Cogwheel Railroad, the Children's Railway and the Zugliget chairlift. All in it was the best thing we did when in Budapest. We got the 56a/61 tram from Szell Kalman Ter to Varosmajor, which is...More

The lift can be taken to go up and down or only up or down. It costs around 1400 HUF to go up and down again, but it's worth the money. The view is really nice when going up, but even nicer when going down,...More

We travelled from the city centre on public buses. We got the number 16 bus to Szell Kalman Ter and then picked up the 155 to Bela Kiraly Ut. Then it's just a short walk up the hill - enjoy! :)
