The best place to be in Slovenija, together with Ljubljana! We visited Bled island on a rainy day, and instead of using the traditional Pletna boat to curry us to the island, we used a sealed boat. BUT, what I was thinking all the time,...More

We decide decided to row to the island, as the gondola type things were €12 per person. Out row boat was €20 for one hour (€10 for each additional hour). We were concerned that we wouldn’t be able to dock the boat anywhere but there...More

Can take the Pletna boat touring the lake. Just somehow I didn't feel immersed and enjoyed the scenery as much.

The island is worth a visit but be prepared to share it with many others. Coach loads of tourists and shipped to the island all day long in the summer. The island is small and to ring the bell it will cost you 6 euros...More

We planned to stop there on the way to Croatia and did not expect much. Well, we were wrong. An amazing lake with lots of possibilities to enjoy life - swim in the lake (clean and warm!!!), rent a boat or SUP, hike, climb to...More

We stayed at the town end of the lake rather than the beach end. There were loads of good priced bars and restaraunts . There were also hire boats and a great thrill seeked park with a long summer tabogan run. The time we were...More

A lovely island with the church the main attraction, giving fantastic views across the Bled area. Take swim wear to make the most of your visit.

It’s very small with just a little church in on it. It’s nice but not a lot to see and do. Wort stopping off if you hired a boat but if you’re short on time then Give it a skip.

As far as i know, you can't. You buy the tickets for the boat from one of the start points.

Yes you can. The water is warmer than you might think. I believe there is a warm stream coming into the lake. If you wish, you can swim to the island.
