The museum is housed in a fine reconstructed building that used to be the National bank. It is just under half a mile from Ratusz Arsenal metro station. The gallery name is a misnomer. The art within was donated by the Porczynski family to the...More

Enter from the side (Elektoralna Street). It is a sophisticated and elegant setting to enjoy a short Chopin concert away from the tourist sites. Unfortunately the acoustics are not the best but the beautiful art makes up for that. The building seems to have many...More

Like previous visitors, we have come all this way to find a piece of paper stuck on the door saying shut. Either this is a tourist attraction or it isn't, the owners need to make their mind up.

Incredible collection of art in this unassuming museum. It's also dead quiet - I was the only person there for the duration of my visit (on a Sunday morning). Dali, Picasso, Rodin, van Gogh, Velazquez, Rubens, Reynolds, Gainsborough - quite a list and all for...More

Well worth a visit. Someone described it as one of those off the beaten track places which, for art lovers at least, really add to a visit to Warsaw. A picture of Renoir's son, a Rembrandt or at least a school of Rembrandt, a Murillo...More

Online, the museum should be open, so I walked there (in very cold temperatures), and there is a hand-written sign on the door that it is closed. I was irritated. This museum should be better organised, out of respect to the former Pope.
