We had very little time to shop and came across this little gem by accident. We ended up purchasing most of our Christmas gifts in this one place. The man working there was so helpful and explained the significance of many of the items. I can't wait to go back to Krakow and will definitely make this one of my stops again!

after I didn't found a souvenir that I like in the Sukiennice I arrived to this very nice shop located very close to Krakow's old town square and St. Mary's Basilica .
even if you never heard of Kacper Ryx you will find this shop interesting. this shop has great souvenirs -bought there 2 carved wooden figures.

Very unique shop with beautifully crafted items. I purchased some items when I visited in August 2015 and regretted that I didn't purchase other items. Not to worry...I emailed the store and they sent photos of items I inquired about. I purchased them and they were shipped to the USA by the store owner. They went over and above to service their customers. Extremely happy with my purchases.

Unique store, where I could always find what I need, interesting novel, nice looking handmade gift, or a guide through magical Kraków, which you can't find anywhere else.

Cracow is famous from its historical places and architecture . But if you are looking for some rare and original souvenirs I strongly suggest visiting Kacper Ryx Historical Shop. It's not a common tourist shop - the whole place is dedicated to Kacper Ryx, main character from Renaissance crime stories and was established by Mariusz Wollny, the author of this book series. This place definitely has its own soul and each item you find there has its own story.

When I visited Kacper Ryx, I wasnt looking for anything special.. it was one of the places which we just go inside exploring by random... and suddenly: !what a big surprise!
I felt like traveling back in time. Being amused/surprised by pieces of unique beauty, after all, for me, the beauty things of life remains on the simple-magnificent things.
Heading back to my town, I gave some gifts from Kacper Ryx to my friends, saying the handicraft things were, in fact, "treasure fragments". It wasnt hard to believe.
Totally a place to go, I highly recommend it.

Much much smaller than I expected. Yes items from Poland and far better than items in cloth hall but we left empty handed. Maybe there stock was down after busy summer season
