About
Guided tours in English: Tuesday - Saturday at 12:00 and 3::00 p.m. In the Stained Glass Museum, exhibition spaces intertwine with the old stained glass workshop, functioning since 1902. The visitors can observe the process of stained glass creation, in the warm atmosphere of the historic workshop, directly above the heads of artists and craftsmen. For this reason visiting the museum is possible only with a guide and starts with at least two people. Ticket prices per person (including our English guide): adults 42 PLN, student 35 PLN, family (2+2) 140 PLN Visitors can also book workshops with master craftsmen and make their own stained glass souvenir. There are three workshops options: 2 hrs, 3 hrs or 2 days long, at the price 199 PLN, 280 PLN or 1100 PLN per person respectively. The price in each case includes: - guided tour of the museum and workshop - coffee break - creation of stained glass object under the artist's guidance - your own stained glass object to take home.

- Isaac L4 contributionsFascinating and beautifulHow often do you get to see a stained glass workshop in operation? If you‘ve got any interest in history, art or religion I’d give this a go. It is not expensive or difficult to get to. We turned up at 12 for a tour of the workshop and museum from one of the workers. It cost the equivalent of £10 each at 50 Zlotys and lasted just over an hour. The group was six people. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. We learned about the history of stained glass, of the workshop itself, were taken though the processes used in the workshop and shown commissions and restoration work they were undergoing. The second party of the tour involves going through a stained glass museum. The pieces were a mix of new work done/acquired by the workshop and some older examples. Our guide was able to explain the meanings behind the art and their (very interesting) histories. I really do recommend this.Visited December 2022Traveled with familyWritten December 6, 2022
- Lizara K195 contributionsInterestingI've never seen another museum like this one. It was absolutely worth the time to walk a few minutes out of the Old Town and take this tour to learn about the process of making stained glass, see a few interesting examples, and even try part of the painting process ourselves. I also liked the more modern examples of stained glass art that they showed us and wouldn't have minded seeing a few more, even just in pictures.Visited July 2020Written July 6, 2020
- Zoryana C3 contributionsWonderful place to visit! Highly recommend!I am not a big fun of museums, in general, but I really enjoyed this wonderful authentic place. A tour guided by the Ukrainian girl Natalia was extremely interesting and I would definitely recommend it to all people who like art and those who want to spend time enjoyably. There’s a cozy cafe inside with nice atmosphere, which is a big plus. So, thank you all for great time and thank you Natalia for giving an insight into the stain glass creation process.Visited November 2022Traveled soloWritten November 12, 2022

We loved our visit here! We learned so much and will definitely reccomend this to anyone coming to Krakow. The museum is small and I would highly recommend doing the guided tour with the workshop. Lucyna was our guide and she was so knowledgeable and helpful! With the workshop we got to create our own stained glass pieces and really loved the whole experience.

Very informative and interesting tour provided by Maria, our English speaking guide. Beautiful examples of stained glass works and the way in which they are assembled, painted and fired. Nice glimpse into the way in which these works of art seen all throughout the city are produced. Highly recommend.

I went to the stained glass museum with my daughter when we visited Krakow, we booked the tour and the stained glass workshop. Our tour guide Aleksandra explained the process of producing a stained glass window and then showed us around the workshop area where the professionals were at work. After the tour we attended a workshop run by Anna who helped us make a stained glass souvenir, a really good 'hands on' experience.

The museum/workshop offers a delightful and cozy guided tour with one of the craftspeople. Our guide, Lucyna was friendly and passionate about her work, she explained all the ins and outs of stained glass making and answered any questions from our group. The tour time (< 1h) listed on TripAdvisor was shorter than actual time (1.5h), although this might have had to do with the activity of our group. Overall, I enjoyed the visit and would recommend it to anyone with artistic inclinations!

Our tour guide Lucyna was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The museum is a working workshop so doesn't have the artificial feel of a recreated workshop. The display of the Apollo stained glass is a definite highlight. I would recommend a visit as well as checking out the other buildings with stained glass windows in the pamphlet they have.

This museum is actually a still working workshop since 1902. Even the floors and windows are original. You can learn a lot about the whole process of making stain glass art.

Hi,
What is the difference between 2hr and 3hr workshop? Does the 3hr one allow you to make a bigger stained glass project or are they both the same?
Thanks!
UlaO
Krakow, Poland98 contributions
Hello, sorry for delay, we somehow missed this question. Yes, the 3hrs version allows you to make a slightly larger piece, consisting of 5 pieces of glass, while during the 2 hrs version yo make a piece consisting of 2 glass pieces. If you like more details, please contact us on info@stainedglass.pl , we can send you some example photos. Best regards, Stained Glass Museum

Hello. I was reading your review of the Stained Glass Museum in Krakow. I am also interested in the 3 hour stained glass workshop, but was not sure what "project" you make in it. The website doesn't mention it-- could you share what you made in the workshop that you took?
Thanks!
