A very sad end to some legends.
If you grew up in the 60's or 70's and before noses were glued to electronics, you more than likely made an airfix kit of one of these aircraft. I know I certainly did and spent many very happy hours doing so. It is a crying shame that they are exposed to the elements and slowly decaying. The mk XVI spit is outside with its canopy half open and is rotting. I nearly cried at the state of the Jag and Harrier.....never mind their old foes mig 21's and more. however it is cool to get up close and peer into cockpits most of which are unusually fully intact including gunsights. The museum will regret not looking after these exhibits in time when they will be worth fortunes.

worth a visit if you are into aviation history
This is off the beaten track which is a shame as this collection shows aviation advancement from the perspective of the other side of the Iron Curtain. There are so many Eastern Bloc aircraft here lined up in chronological order so that you can trace each planes lineage (so many MIG's). The signs are in Polish/English, what was interesting was the facts were so honest including the failures that occurred along the way. I agree that some of the exhibits are looking a little weather worn, they being outside but I found that aspect better instead of shiny planes looking like new. There are also helicopters here and some NATO planes including a Spitfire and Harrier Jump Jet as well as some anti aircraft hardware on show. Unfortunately the hangar where restoration is being carried out was closed to the public due to covid restrictions which was a shame. A nice collection and well worth a visit if you are interested in aviation history. You can spend from an hour and a half to 3 hours here easily.

    Interesting Place
My wife and I saw this place on the Discover Krakow website and decided to give it a try. Personally I am glad we did, in here is an amazing array of aircraft with everything from training jets to Helicopters. We spent a good three hours there and had a wonderful time wandering about. As most of the aircraft are outside it is a bit overgrown But my wife who has severe walking difficulties had no problems as there are benches scattered everywhere. Being overgrown just makes this place more authentic to me. There is also a quite large interior part where they have uniforms from the Polish pilots who fought with the R.A.F. Plus there are model aircraft on display and some simulators. Unfortunately due to the restrictions around Covid you cannot go inside the craft but this in no way diminished our enjoyment. If you have a few hours to spare go here even if you are not an aircraft enthusiast I'm am sure you will have a good time.

What a beautiful museum to visit. If I counted well 4 hangars full of beautiful well maintained planes. World War 1 and WOII planes are on display. Outside there is a large number of fighter jets and helicopters, not all in the best of shape but they are there. Take some coins along as the vending machines for coffee only operate the old fashioned way. Easy to get by tram.

Really loved this museum. We used the ‘get your guide app’ and bought tickets for just over £5 for all three of us. My teenage son was fascinated with the fighter jets and missiles. The majority of the aircraft are outside so maybe not great to visit on a cold or wet day. The aeroplanes outside are weathered although still very interesting. There are 3 or 4 hangers with better maintained examples and some interactive activities. The museum is only a short tram ride away from the centre and then a 5 minute walk. Would thoroughly recommend!

Really excellent museum with a broad range of aircraft covering all eras of aviation. We particularly enjoyed seeing the Mig-29 and the AN-26 and the Mig alley was really something special. Only slight criticism would be the lack of more US Cold War aircraft on display. Definitely worth a visit even if you are not 100% a fully fledged AV geek 😃

The museum contains a large number of very interesting planes. There is a hall with a lot of interesting world war 1 biplanes particulary German marks. There are a lot of exhibits from the second world war and some very historic examples in another hall. Outside there are a huge amount of Migs and Sukhois from over 50 years of development. A long line of strange and one off planes from crop dusters to old passenger aircraft. Poland also had a lot of aircraft from other nations which included a lot of aircraft examples i had never seen before. Excellent but actually slightly sad to see these incredible machines being neglected in the outdoors. Shame really as there are some unique examples.

This is a great museum with a lot of historic and authentical planes of Poland. They are very old but in good shape. (you know stay fit👍👍). I highly recommend buying tickets even for advance. Great place for avgeeks as there is what to see. The have some events from time to time. There is a small vending machine and a gift show with planes for modelling. Some toys. Magnets. etc.

Excellent indoor exhibitions centred on aircraft from the 2 world wars. Some early jet aircraft as well.
Outside, there is a large selection of cold War era aircraft both from NATO and the Warsaw Pact. The aircraft outside are not preserved.
Check opening times on their website. They were open today (Sunday) until 1700 despite Trip Advisor showing them closed.

What an absolutely INCREDIBLE museum!!! Give yourself at least 2 hours to wander through all of the planes, engines an stories!! Mostly outdoors so best on a dry day but an umbrella would do!! Fascinating!
