The "Kościół św. Wojciecha" (Church of St. Adalbert) is at the southern part of the main square (Rynek Główny), where Grodzka Street starts. It is almost 1000 years old, but it was reconstructed during the 17th century in Baroque style, so there is little interesting remaining.
On the right while looking st the church there is the entrance to the underground excavations, but the so-called "underground museum" is totally uninteresting and it is not worth the entrance fee.

A "companion piece" to the huge St Mary's church, the very small church - or chapel - of St Adalbert is an absolute tranquil place. Silence and people in prayer. Beautiful in its small scale.
The dome has beautiful decorations.
While walking around the enormous square Rynek Glowny, a short visit to this church should absolutely be included.

This is a small church right at Krakow's lively central square. Amid tourist groups, this place remains a gathering place for pious locals. Perhaps it carries special message for local residents.

Popped into the church as couldn't get the timed tickets for the Underground museum.. Nice small church and then turn right to go into the Vault.. 4 zloty per adult and 2 zloty for a leaflet.. About £1.25 altogether. Good to see the strata layers and bricks below the city, couple of pots and a 1000 year old skeleton on display. Can do church and Vault in around 20-30 mins, so something to fill a bit of time.

This is a very tiny church on the main square, but it is very worthwhile going to see the chamber orchestra. This isn't the NY Philharmonic, but it is fascinating to sit in a tiny church (I think it seats about 40, but they somehow fit around 70 people) and it is incredibly intimate. The group is very good and some of the music they play is just fantastic. It is super cheap, and only an hour out of your day. For that it deserves a 5!!

Very cold concert, as in other churches, but here we could sit and look at the heaters , that was not turned on, so we were freezing. It's of course cold in old buildings in winter time, but when you have to sit and listen, and try to enjoy, it was way to cold.
The music was ok,the program not yet working properly, so it was not the music that was expected. But music in church rooms are nice even though...
But the one in Peter and Paul's cathedral much more professional and better.

As mentioned in other reviews, this small church is difficult to miss when you visit sites on the main square. On the day of our visit, the church itself was closed, but the underground area was open. Since our Krakow Cards included this attraction, we decided to take a look.
It is somewhat difficult to manage the high stone steps that lead to the underground, particularly for people like us. My wife and I are senior citizens. Once inside, we found a man inviting us to come in and buy a small booklet. This place offers nothing to show or learn. It is just a basement excavated long ago, of what is the oldest church in Krakow. You can see and walk around the entire place in less than 5 minutes.
My recommendation about this site, is to skip it altogether and use your time enjoying the many other attractions. Just a few steps away, you find some of the most interesting ones in town.
Most probably, the concerts offered in the church itself are quite enjoyable, but given the miniscule size of St Adalbert, I can imagine that accommodates not more than 50 people.

This tiny little church on the edge of the square has existed for centuries. Step inside and you'll be surprised how tiny it really is. In the "basement" is a museum (fee) and there are regular nightly concerts (fee).

Every second evening there is a short string quartet concert which is a great start to the evening. 12 short popular numbers.

There is no fee. Opening hours are various I think, you should check at tourist office. You must mean underground historicall site of Krakow, cause the city doesn't have a subway. Only trams
