About
Two exhibitions in one location. The first is a journey in the dark in which because of the complete darkness you will feel like a blind person. This metamorphosis has several advantages – first of all you realize that in such a world a blind person feels like a fish in the water. And you? At the beginning you are afraid, then you tame, and finally you realize what power your other senses have. Then you realize that blind people are not disabled at all, it’s just naive to think that you who see are better. The second is a maze of colors, games of lights and fun. How to build a lake of sand or a mountain, or maybe create a tsunami? How to leave the shadow behind? As if with ordinary glasses it would seem to turn the world upside down, and maybe check what the shadow of the strange sculpture hides or turn the sound into shape and color. Both experiences include our fantastic guides, who bring science and emotion into your world in a joyful and colorful way.

- Lucy WLiverpool, United Kingdom3 contributionsA must see for anyone visiting Kraków!Me and my partner decided to do both the light and dark exhibition for under £10 each - both of which were absolutely fascinating. The dark room offered a completely unique experience, testing the very senses you soon realise you take for granted every day. The light exhibition incorporated science, illusion and stunning visuals to create a wonderful interactive visit, appropriate for all ages, which not only continuously impresses you creating anticipation for what’s to come next, but also allows for great photo/video opportunities! To make it even better, the staff were truly interested in each exhibit as well as being super friendly and informative. We stayed for around 2 hours, but would have stayed for much longer if we didn’t have a plane to catch! :)Dear Luce, Many thanks for you wonderful review. WOW, I will pass it to the team that will be incredibly happy to hear that you enjoyed visit to WOMAI so much. Indeed, the dark room is the journey into your inner part, and as stated rightly by you, we discover the senses and their usage we do not think about on the daily bases. We are very lucky to have team like Jakub and Damian and their passion for science, learning and development. If possible please share with us some photos/videos at our email address womai.cracow@gmail.com if you do not mind us to use them on our social media page. Wishing you fantastic 2020. - Patrycjusz S2 contributionsFantastic entertainment for adults and kids. What a positively twisted staff! Wow!Today I have visited Womai with my wife and two kids and I must say that I had a lot of fun! On the dark side we have experienced a life of a blind person. Our guide Natalia is a violinist and a flutist and she let us into her world which is so different from our daily life. And on the bright side we learned so much about science, optics, color, music and we had lots of fun challenging our own perception and senses in a fantastic and friendy atmosphere. We will be back for more when they add new experiences. Good job :-)! I am seriously impressed !Dear Pat, Many thanks for your wonderful review. We are so happy that your entire family enjoyed time in WOMAI. Indeed our guides in both exhibitions are incredibly skillful: acting, paying and enjoying the passion for people. They love to share their worlds both "Dark" and "Light" and it is meaningful for them if they manage to inspire people. We put all our hearts and souls into WOMAI and reading reviews like yours make us inspired and wanting to work more and harder. - Alexandar1 contributionWhat an experience!I've been in WOMAI with my friends, we've seen both of their exhibitions. "Into the Darkness" is a great experience which change perspective on certain things. It's must-see among Krakow's attractions! Special thanks to Paweł, who was our guide in the world without sight. It was difficult but he took care of us :) My friends took a trip with guide Piotr, who was amazing too! I also recommend "Into the Light" exhibition, with our guide Nina we all had a really wonderful time while sight-seeing. Hope to visit this museum again!Dear Alexander, thank you very much for sharing your positive opinion and mentioning our guides Paweł, Piotr and Nina. We will pass on words of appreciation to them and we hope to meet you again someday. It was awesome experience to visit this place. I love science things and everything connected with it. And the main part of it is our guide. Thank you Marianna for interesting explanation and quite curious situations :)

I chose the "Into the Light" series. It was full of interesting tasks and experiences. I learned a few new things along the series despite being a heavy science geek. I highly recommend this path for anyone who enjoys science, and physics and is curious about how light is perceived by us.
Thanks to the guide, Karina for being so kind, informative and friendly. She passionately walked through the series of activities and patiently answered any follow-up questions.
Overall, very kind and supportive staff. Visit to Womai made the Krakow experience much more enriching.
I will go for "Into the Dark" next time.

We were with my friend on an excursion with a blind woman in a dark room. It was an amazing experience. Worker in the reception are so friendly and cute. Mariana offered us everything we needed. She even made us a discount ( because we are students). This place is must visit because of the workers on the reception 😻🙏

This exhibition was amazing but it wouldn’t have been so interesting if we’re not Pani Mariana who led it for us. We were happy!

We're a family of 5 (young teens included) that did the Into the Dark Tour with Simon. Now that our trip through Prague, Kutna Hora, Krakow and the Carpathians is done, the family is somewhat split on whether the Wieliczka Salt Mine or Womai were better - and this is very high praise given how impressive the mine is.
Many other reviewers already described the tour here, I'd summarize it with: the point is to introduce the rest of us to what it's like to be blind, and to make the point that one can still live a fulfilled life with that.
Definitely something to experience and discuss afterwards.
