So very well laid out, so interesting to see the square dug up in the photos and the history of the area. Lots of fun things to do. The highlight for my 13 year old was the pavement and also the displays of smoke and water on the floor.

Was interested to see this but felt it was a bit of a let down. Really do think it would be a better experience if headsets were available for the first half explaining what we are seeing. Second half was really good.

This is such a good find! Really interesting and fun museum. Gets quite busy. The only issue I would say is that it's quite different to find the entrance which is the other side of the ticket office - so you need to go to the ticket office on one side of the Cloth Hall market then you access the actual entrance on the other side but it's not well marked and literally just behind a glass/wooden door.

An interesting & educational visit showing the history of Poland & parts of the old city walls etc. Well worth visit around £12. There's plenty of reading down there & some interesting artefacts including precious items in gold

This is a really cool underground archeology/history museum. It explores the origins of the settlement of Krakow. The existing underground structure of stone and sandstone dates to circa 900 AD and the rest of the museum offers glimpses of the evolution going forward. I’m most impressed with the goldsmith shop and the water pump. I highly recommend touring this museum while in Krakow.

A miserably rainy, cold day pushed us out of the streets, seeking shelter, and Rynek Underground was perfect for this - the archaological dig is well documented, as are the artifacts found, and made relevant to the historical periods and the development of Krakow. The interactive screens (in several languages) are informatively thorough. The documentaries at the end of the passage are well worth spending time watching. My only complaint is that the lighting could have been a tad brighter in some areas.

A bit confusing as you have to buy tickets from the ticket office, which is on the opposite side of the building. We didn't book and went on a Tuesday, a day where the tickets were apparently free! We were initially turned away as they had 'sold out' for the day then miraculously 2 tickets were available. The tickets are for timed entry. The museum itself was really warm, so make use of the cloakroom. It was a bit dark and boring to walk around, so don't think I'd have paid to go in. The most interesting bit is the bodies they found and the photos showing the excavations. It was a good way to spend a rainy day

Great museum which allows you to see more of the history of Krakow. Information can be translated into a number of different languages so you don't miss out. We initally thought the museum would be just one room (which showed medival remains) so spent a long time in there- only to find out there was far more outside this room! Including 5 short documentaries in different rooms and various artefacts that were found on the excavation. The guide time says 60mins but we definitely spent longer in there. Great value for money.

Our visit to Rynek Underground didn’t start well - we purchased tickets online from their website however the tickets themselves were not attached to the payment confirmation email. We then went to the actual ticket shop to ask for our tickets only for the cashier to direct us to the Tourist Office across the square where a TO assistant was able to print out our missing tickets. Entrance to the museum is poorly sign posted, as is where to go in the dimly lit museum itself - we almost missed the most interesting bit - a glass walkway over a very old cobbled road and market stalls. Strangely enough the museum employs many attendants who don’t seem to do a lot other than chat to each other. Quite expensive. Skip this unless you really enjoy archaeology or need somewhere to shelter in rainy weather.

The ticket office for the musuem if the other side of the cloth market in the square, something the guy at the musuem had to constantly tell people - you would have thought they might have made up a sign? We went on a Tuesday so made use of their free ticket offer. I think children might be bored here as a lot of the displays are just old stone walls but there are some videos and a few efects to see. Most of the information is provided with pasters to read (in English as well as Polish). Worth a short visit especially if you get in for free.
