This is the main street in the old Jewish quarter of Krakow.
The name "main street" may be misleading, as it as tranquil and picturesque as it gets.
The street features several synagogues, restaurants and shops.

The main street of the Kazimierz Old Jewish Quarter. The Remuh Synagogue is located on the street, along with many recently popular trendy restaurants.

This is a very famous and historical street in what was the former Jewish district in Krakow. The Remuh synagogue is located on this street.

The most famous and beautiful street in the Jewish Quarter is Ulica Szeroka ,a street I always look forward to visiting on any trip to Krakow I take .
This is the old part of the Jewish Quarter ,the synagogues along this street are amazing ,The Old Synagogue,Remuh Synagogue,Wolf Pepper Synagogue and made even more fascinating to view when you consider that during the German Army occupation of World War Two nearly all vestiges of the Jewish faith were obliterated ,the architecture is also superb along this street ,great looking building line both sides of Ulica Szeroka ,let's not forget the great pubs, cafés,bars and restaurants along the street,Krokodyli Pub,Bistro Szara ,Babelstein are just some of my favourite haunts along this street ,all in all it's a great street to check out if you're in the Kazimierz District.

This street and square are a mixture of the old buildings and synagogues that constituted the jewish quarter of the city and the modern Jewish oriented businesses.

It was Szeroka Street - albeit more of a square than a street of which was the starting point of the old Jewish quarter in Krakow. In some sense things don't feel like they have changed, even the newer cafe's and restaurants that have opened have remained tasteful in a bid to keep the area traditional to its routes. The area is also home to 2 of the most famous synagogues so definitely worth a stop and some time to soak it up.

Nice quarter with many many restaurants! The whole Kazimierz area is weird (in a good way): Feels like time has stopped there even though the streets were full of people and pubs, shops and restaurants were very lively

This street - or square - is the centre of the Jewish quarter of Krakow. The Stara Synagoga, the Remuh-Synagogue, the old Jewish bookshop as well as the old and interesting cemetery - next to a range of restaurants with mainly traditional Polish/Jewish dishes make this place so vibrant and pulsating by day and night. The buildings remember of the rich past and history of the Krakow Jews - and it is a perfect place for exploring Kazimierz and the Jewish Quarter.

Walking around in the old Jewish neighborhood is calming, interesting. It teases your imagination about the life that was lived here and the history is very clear wherever you look. The restorations are very gently made with respect for the history and that is why the entire Kazimierz area simultaneously is a very lively, modern and hip place. Lots of cool resturants and small art caves

We have booked an apartment on the street, however our 1 st booking was for Dajwor. We have a transfer with Hoppa from the airport. I have looked to change the booking to our new apartment .Is Szeroka a no go area for normal traffic ,buggy only? The hoppa form shows no availability for the address. If so would it be okay doing the walk from 20 dajwor to the square ? thank you any help would be appreciated ..

Hi Christine,
Transfers from the airport to the centre of the old town can be very easily done via train and takes around 15 mins if thats still an option for you, costs a couple of £pp.
In regards to walking from 20 dajwor to Szeroka, most of the old town is walkable, we visited Krakow for 3 days and walked everywhere once in the city centre from the airport. To give you an idea the Rynek Glowny to the castle is a casual 10 min walk.
Hope you have a great time!
