The first liturgy was held inside this new church in 1994. The small building is of classical Byzantine design (four towers and a dome, arched facade). It seems the orthodox hierarchy was not pleased they were not allowed to pray in the Hagia Sophia (museum)...More

We were lucky to meet in front of the Church most probably its orthodox priest who offered us an enter of the temple that was locked at the time of our visit.
